Site work, paving and new construction of an educational facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 181,676-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.
This project consists of construction of a new, 181,676 square foot intermediate school to replace the existing George A. Thompson Intermediate School. The project includes site work including grading, storm drainage, playfields, reinforced concrete parking and driveways, fencing, landscaping, and irrigation. The structural systems include drilled and underreamed piers, concrete grade beams, concrete slab on grade, and a steel frame. Exterior walls are masonry veneer and metal panels with masonry and steel stub backup. Interior partitions are CMU and gypsum board on steel studs. Finishes include carpet, resilient flooring, ceramic tile, quartz flooring, natural stone, paint, and suspended acousitcal ceilings. Also a part of the work are dry marker boards, tackboards, toilet partitions, aluminum walkway covers, acoustical panels, kitchen equipment, casework, and horizontal blinds. the project also includes new HVAC systems, electrical systems, fire sprinkler system, and plumbing systems. There are a number of Alternates pertaining to the project that will affect multiple scopes of work, so please be aware of these, and submit your pricing accordingly if the Alternates apply to you. Addendum #1-#3 has been issued.
