It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Number: AC-STBG-NHPP-000B(265)E This contract shall construct Safety and Spot improvements at various locations in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. This work involves individual work assignments which could include: Grinding, resurfacing, pavement repair, signing and pavement markings, raised pavement markers, concrete, asphalt, and brick sidewalks, ADA ramps, curb and gutter, traffic barrier and end treatments, and minor drainage improvements; Pedestrian refuge islands, pedestrian crosswalks, bus pads, minor signing modifications, loop detector replacement and miscellaneous traffic control device infrastructure items required for safety and spot improvements; Site distance improvement and the addition of turning lane(s); Minor landscaping and turf establishment.The Contractor is reminded that this contract is for Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, and project sites may be located throughout both counties. Pre Bid Conference: A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the IFS. Bids must only be made upon latest the electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
