Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the addition of a library; for the renovation of a 182,080-square-foot library; and for the demolition of a library.
The WKU Commons project includes the renovation and possible expansion of Margie Helm Library and Raymond Cravens Library. Helm Library, an 85,193 square foot facility, was originally constructed in 1931 as a gymnasium. The building was renovated in 1964 and transformed into a library facility which included the internal addition of a second floor level. Cravens Library, a 96,887 square foot facility, was constructed in 1969 as a library facility.
