STIP ID WDO-451 ADA curb ramps do not meet current ADA standards. Upgrading curb ramps to current standards will improve pedestrian access and has the potential to improve safety. As of December 31, 2021 this project is in conceptual status. Preliminary engineering is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2023 and environmental design is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023. The contract advertisement is expected in second quarter of 2024 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the fourth quarter of 2024. WSDOT - SR 163/N 46th St to N 54th St - ADA Compliance *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
