Site work and new construction of a parking garage in Ventura, California. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
The City of San Buenaventura is seeking proposals from consulting professionals experienced with municipal parking structure financing, design and operations. This work will consist of preparing a detailed process to finance, construct and operate a public parking facility in the city's downtown. The consultant will also create a conceptual design for a parking structure to accommodate approximately 400 standard parking stalls, public restrooms and retail frontage. Top floor housing may also be taken into consideration regarding financing. The Consultant will coordinate the work with stakeholders consisting of Downtown Parking Advisory Committee (DPAC) members, Design Review Committee (DRC), City Staff, Downtown Ventura Partners Board of Directors and community members. As of January 25, 2021, this project is on indefinite hold. The owner does not have a timeline in place for when a professional design services solicitation will be reissued. Construction timeline has not been established.
