Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a water / sewer project; and fitness / recreation center.
As of September 12, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded in early October. The Project Scope is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Replacement of damp proofing, foundation and storm drainage systems on West and South walls. 2. Addition of a new foundation wall with damp proofing and storm drainage under the front entry. 3. Replacement of the roof assembly on the flat roof portion of the building and on the main entrance canopy including metal coping, flashing, scuppers, etc. Replacement of all gutters and downspouts. 4. Replacement of metal flashing at corrugated metal siding/CMU transition and applying corrosion control coating on the corrugated metal siding. 5. Cleaning and applying clear sealer on all exterior masonry surfaces. 6. The interior work consists of new a new Gym floor, painting the walls damaged by water intrusion, new toilet room sinks, countertops, urinals, and toilet partitions. 7. A new HVAC system is to be provided for the 2-story side of the building as well as in the gym. A separate performance bond and payment bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract price, will be required from the successful lowest responsive, responsible bidder after notice of award, and for execution of contract. Carriers must be authorized to do business in the state of North Carolina. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Furthermore, the City has an aspirational goal of 15% of the total contract amount to be performed by MWBE businesses in contracts awarded by the City for: (i) construction and building projects of $300,000 or more; and (ii) construction and building projects of $100,000 or more that have any state funding (Note this project has no state funding). The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, the Owner may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to Award the contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner
