Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: 1,719 LF of 6' HMA trail 2 EA 20'x30' Pavilions 8,000 SF playground area 7,200 SF of HMA basketball courts 1 EA Entrance Feature 1 EA Restroom Facility Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Drawings and specifications are available electronically at website or at the 7123 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 office of Prein&Newhof. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. a. State or federal funds are being used to assist in construction and relevant State or federal requirements will apply. b. Communities must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act) and 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), as amended. In accordance with these laws, all contracts must contain a covenant that The contractor and any subcontractors shall not discriminate against an employee or applicant for employment with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, or a matter directly or indirectly related to employment, because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status or a disability that is unrelated to the individual's ability to perform the duties of a particular job or position. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Charter Township of Comstock in an amount equal to the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of Sixty (60) days after the receipt of bids. The project shall be substantially completed by December 21, 2018, with a spring restoration and startup between April 15, 2019 and April 30, 2019. Contractor shall submit a project schedule with the bid documents.
