Site work and paving for a road / highway in Pemberton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of work for this project consists of the construction of an asphalt trail with a pedestrian bridge, between Broadway and Evergreen Boulevard over Ong's Creek for the limits defined in the plan set. Bids must be on the official Bid Form which can be obtained from the Engineer, at the offices of ARH Associates 215 Bellevue Avenue, PO Box 579, Hammonton, NJ 08037 and accompanied by a Consent of Surety, a Non-Collusion Affidavit, other documents required pursuant to the specifications, and a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of the amount bid but not in excess of $20,000.00, and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. Specifications provide for receipt of Bids by mail. Those Bids which are mailed to the contracting unit shall be sealed, properly marked and shall only be opened for examination at such time and place as all Bids received are unsealed and announced. The Mayor, Township Council and its Solicitor (hereinafter referred to as Owner) will be the sole discretionary body for consideration or rejection of the Bids. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of Bids or any authorized postponement thereof. Bids received after time and date designated shall not be considered. The provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 shall be adhered to on this project. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27). Construction shall commence at the project site within fourteen (14) calendar days after the date to be specified in the written 'Notice to Proceed' by the Engineer and shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the date the written 'Notice to Proceed' is given, unless otherwise agreed to. The provisions of the Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations and the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. The provisions of the New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act are requirements of this project. The provisions of the New Jersey Business Registration Requirements shall be adhered to on this project. This project is funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation Safe Streets to Transit Program.
