New construction of a mixed-use development in Thornhill, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.
Construction of a subway station at Steeles Ave and Yonge St as part of the Yonge Subway Extension. The scope will include construction of a YRT bus terminal. TIMELINE: The architect is undertaking completion of preliminary design to 30 percent including costing studies and work plans. As of early March 2023, Metrolinx announced the started construction on the early works at the TTC's Finch Subway Station, before major construction on the YNSE can begin. The upgrades at Finch Station move the Yonge North Subway Extension closer to the construction stage and keep the project running smoothly. Future calls for design build consortia to provide detailed design and working drawings and manage construction are expected in 2024. Tender and construction timing will be finalized in 2024/2025 pending funding allocation.
