New construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in North York, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Construction of a subway station at the Cummer Ave & Drewry Ave as part of the Yonge Subway Extension. The scope will include alterations to Finch Subway Station TIMELINE: As of early March 2023, Metrolinx announced the started construction on the early works at the TTC's Finch Subway Station, before major construction on the YNSE can begin. The upgrades at Finch Station move the Yonge North Subway Extension closer to the construction stage and keep the project running smoothly. Mid-December 2021 Metrolinx announced the release of a Request For Qualifications to complete early works at the TTC's Finch Subway Station, before major construction on the YNSE can begin. Future calls for design build consortia to provide detailed design and working drawings and manage construction are expected in 2024. The awarded design build consortia will provide detailed design and working drawings and manage construction. Tender and construction timing will be finalized in 2024/2025 pending funding allocation.
