Site work and paving for a road / highway in Cochrane, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Construction of a community access road from Marten Falls First Nation south to existing provincial highways. It may, in the future, be extended to the Ring of Fire. Between 190 km to 230 km of an all season, two lane gravel road; Bridges for river and stream crossings; and Culverts—engineered ditches—for water flow connections and to balance water levels. Construction may take from 3-10 years to complete. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual and in the Environmental Assessment / Impact Assessment phase. The Draft Environmental Assessment / Impact Statement is being circulated in two stages. Early Access for Indigenous communities: Review Period February 18 to June 23, 2025 & Public Review Period: April 22 to June 23, 2025. Timeline for detailed design & construction may be available after the conclusion of the Environmental Assessment process, possibly in 2026. Updates may be available late spring 2026. *Budget is unreleased.
