Site work and paving for a road / highway in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project will transform the 3rd and 4th Street area from Georgia Ave. to Hampton St. into a well-connected grid of 2-way streets with at-grade intersections, and will change Riverfront Parkway from a high speed highway into an urban boulevard with calmed traffic and pedestrian/bicycle facilities. As of June 15 2022, this project is in the design phase. An engineer has been selected for the project. Per the owner, phase I bidding is estimated to take place in 2024 and not start until after 2024 and phase II is estimated to take place two years after phase I.
