Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Canton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 4,518-square-foot clubhouse / community center; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and water / sewer project.

Questions Due July 2, 2019 by 4:00 PM Proposals from licensed general contractors for construction of an addition to the Senior Center. The address of the Senior Center is 1001 Univeter Rd, Canton GA 30115. The work generally consists of constructing an addition of approximately 4,518 sq. ft. including but not limited to, some site and building demolition, grading, parking lot construction, storm water treatment and erosion control, utility connections to existing building, building construction and landscaping, backup generator installation, as well as interior refinishes in the existing building and walk in freezer replacement. Contract period is 240 days. Questions Due June 6, 2019 by 4:00 PM Answers Due June 10, 2019 Anticipated Award Date July 2, 2019 The existing Senior Center building will remain open and fully operational Monday - Friday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the entire construction process. The Contractor must keep a clean work area and ensure no tools/equipment interfere with the safety of the Senior Center programs and staff. The Contractor will be permitted to work weekends, with prior approval from the Project Manager. QUESTIONS/ADDENDA: Only written inquiries will be permitted during the solicitation period. Questions are to be submitted via Vendor Registry for this solicitation no later than the date and time indicated in the Schedule, as may be amended. Answers will be posted via formal Addendum and only released as part of the solicitation documents on the County's designated website. All interested parties are instructed to monitor the County's website on a regular basis throughout the solicitation period. The final date for posting of Addenda is per the Schedule, as may be amended. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive technicalities and to make a selection and final award as deemed to be in the best interest of the County, including using any form of contract it deems most advantageous to the County. The County further reserves the right to reject the bid of any vendor who has previously failed to perform properly or complete on time contracts of a similar nature, or who upon investigation shows is not in a position to perform the contract.
