The project involves the stripping of existing paint and coatings, and the recoating and painting of the swimming pool surfaces at the Gail and Carolyn Shaw Aquatics Center located at 401 SW Parkland Dr., Chehalis, WA 98532. The facility will be closed during the time of work, allowing work to be completed during normal business hours. Such information may be obtained from the city's website. Bidders are encouraged to "Register as Bidder" with the City Clerk to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and be placed on the "Bidders List." The City of Chehalis accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to Bidders who fail to check for addenda and submit inadequate or incorrect responses. All bidders are required to use the forms furnished by the City and to bid each item in the manner shown on the bid form. Upon award of the contract a performance and payment bond, meeting the requirements of the bid documents, will be required. This project involves public work and as such is subject to prevailing wages. The current list of Washington State Prevailing Wages is included as part of the bid document. Retainage of five percent (5%) will be held until releases are received from the State Departments of Employment Security, Labor & Industries, and Revenue.
