Site work and new construction of a fitness / recreation center in King City, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 120,000-square-foot, one-story above grade fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.
This Request for Tender (RFT) is an invitation to pre-qualified Bidders to submit bids for the supply of all labour, material, and equipment necessary for the construction of the Township Wide Recreation Centre, as further described throughout the Tender Documents. Only those Bidders that have been pre-qualified as part of Request for Prequalification No.: 2022-RFPQ01 as being eligible to bid for this project will be considered for award of this RFT. For the construction of a new recreational centre ("Township Wide Recreation Centre" known as the TWRC project) in King City, Ontario ((North-West corner of the intersection of 15th Sideroad and Dufferin Street). State of the art, high efficency, fully accessible Recreation Complex. Key building features include: (2) NHL sized ice surfaces, (6) lane 25m long lap pool, multi-purpose athletic fieldhouse, and a multi-purpose community room. Anticipated construction to start Summer (Q2-3) 2022. Anticipated substantial completion expected Summer (Q2-3) 2024. JR Certus Construction Company Limited being the lowest compliant bidder (Tender 2022-T14) with a total bid in the amount of $73,206,565 (excluding HST) be awarded the contract for the construction of the Township Wide Recreation Centre. Subject to approval, the project budget will increase to $86,000,000.
