As of January 4, 2019, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Maybrook Trailway Project involves the following types of work: • Final Engineering and Design • Environmental permitting and approvals, environmental protection, and controlled inspections (NOTE: Metro-North anticipates having permits in place prior to contract Award. However, should permitting not be secured prior to contract award, the DesignBuilder shall provide services necessary to support the permitting process. Also, permits being attained by Metro-North are based upon the design documents presented herein. Any deviation from the design by the Design-Builder that may require re-approval by permitting agencies is the responsibility of the Design-Builder; including any schedule and cost impacts.) • Tree removal and clearing and grubbing • Maintenance and protection of traffic • Earth and rock excavation to form and shape the existing railroad embankments and trail subgrade and install drainage systems • Structure excavation (bridge repair and replacements) • Installation of subbase and hot mix asphalt pavement • Drainage improvements (cleaning of existing structures, and installation of new culverts, pipes, swales, trench drains, and stone diaphragms) • Installation of temporary and permanent erosion and sedimentation control measures • Minor bridge rehabilitation and modifications (i.e. new timber decks and railings, drop-off protection) as necessary to carry the bikeway and emergency vehicles (H10) • Construction of (5) trailheads / parking areas with ramps/sidewalks connecting to the trail, including post construction stormwater management treatment • Grade crossing treatments (alignment, channelizing, ADA treatments, flashing beacons, signing, striping) • Security improvements at MTA facility (guard booth, CCTV, fencing, storage magazine relocation or other treatment) • Fencing (removal and relocation of existing chain link fence, installation of new chain link fence and post and rail fence) • Landscaping and turf establishment • Signing and Striping • Trail amenities (signage, information kiosks, benches, bike racks) • Waste disposal (i.e. general rubbish along Right-of-Way, railroad ties, excess earth Site Locations- 1.
