Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Woodland, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,500-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
If this is a unit price contract, the quantities of work or material stated in the unit price items of the bid are given only as a basis for the comparison of bids, and the City does not represent or warrant that the actual amount of work or material will correspond therewith, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any unit price item of the work as may be deemed necessary or expedient by the Engineer. All bids must be sealed and accompanied by cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the City in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The cash, cashier’s check, certified check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a written contract within ten (10) work days after being requested to do so. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder fails to comply within said time. Upon an award to the successful bidder, the security of bidders shall be returned in a reasonable period of time
