A timeline for the award is not yet established.** **The anticipated start date will be in August 2019 and completed after 28 months from the start date.** The work shall generally consist of the Contractor providing all labor, materials, equipment and all items deemed necessary for structural steel repairs and painting at the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. The scope includes but is not limited to: Repairs to subfloor beams, stringers, stiffening truss gusset plates, floor truss center posts, lower chord, catwalk and stairs; repair and replacement of traveler runway rail beams, hangers, splice plates, rivet, drainage pan at Tower Spans 9 and 11 of the upper level; furnishing and installing means restriction fencing system and accessories; cleaning and painting of the suspended spans between the Brooklyn and Staten Island Anchorages. This work will also include lead abatement. The construction range is in excess of $60M.
