UPDATE :https://www.plantation.org/home/showpublisheddocument/7193/638628732753870000 A detailed scope has not yet been determined Project is in City of Plantation capital budget fy 2025CIP 544 __________________________________________________________________________________________ The existing Central Park multi-purpose building houses Parks & Recreation Department administrative staff and includes a small exercise room, game room, single basketball court gymnasium, general purpose locker rooms, modest office space for aquatics program staff, a few small classrooms, modest storage rooms and customary restroom facilities. The existing building can barely meet current program and staffing needs. Noise from daily activities in the building impacts administrative staff operations, making for very difficult working conditions. The existing building layout and access to the building does not permit an efficient operation for programs in the building or aquatics program. Planned future expansion of programs will only worsen these conditions. The City will renovate the existing building through re-design of the building interior. Building additions will be included to accommodate the aquatic program and a 2nd gymnasium area. As of June 28, 2023, this project is in the City of Plantation FY 2022-2026 CIP. This project is in the early planning phase. Construction is not expected to start in the next 5 years.
