As of May 19, 2023, a design firm has been selected and this project is in the design phase. A firm time for bidding and construction has not been determined. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Charlotte Water (CLTWater) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified companies (Company) to provide engineering services for the Belmont Lift Station and Forcemain Project (Project). The delivery method for the Belmont facilities will be using Design-Bid-Build delivery. Charlotte Water reserves the ability to change the phasing method utilized, however at this time, Charlotte Water anticipates to complete the design in two phases: Phase 1) design of the pump station and related infrastructure at Belmont WWTP site, and Phase 2) design of the force mains. The initial design contract is anticipated to include detailed design, Phase 1 detailed design services and some early portion of Phase 2 Services. The design contract would be amended later for the remainder of the Phase 2 services as well as Construction Phase services for both Phase 1 and Phase 2. It is anticipated that there will be separate construction bids/contracts for each phase. Funding for Phase 2 design will not be available until FY24 (July 1, 2023).
