As of January 3, 2022, construction documents are complete. A firm bid date has not been established, although the project is expected to be advertised for bid in January 2022. St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) is soliciting proposals for A/E services for the Modernization of Mechanicsville Elementary School located at 28585 Three Notch Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659. This request is for technical proposals issued by SMCPS for Architectural and Engineering Services for the Modernization of Mechanicsville Elementary School. The project will include modest upgrades of architectural finishes, replacement of windows and exterior doors, ADA modifications, health room upgrades, security vestibule, HVAC controls upgrades, new fire sprinkler system, electrical upgrades and fire alarm upgrades. The budget for construction is $5,000,000. The project will be phased construction as this is an occupied building.
