The Village of North Palm Beach is initiating the design phase for the future replacement of the Lighthouse Drive Bridge, originally constructed in 1958. This project includes the development of design concepts consistent with the 2016 Citizens’ Master Plan, with the intent to guide the eventual replacement of the bridge within the next 4 to 7 years. Design efforts will address structural, functional, and aesthetic goals while accounting for modern standards of safety, mobility, and environmental resilience. The current scope includes engineering design fees and anticipated construction costs. A construction engineering inspection (CEI) firm will be selected at a later phase. The Village will actively pursue state and federal appropriations, as well as grant funding, to support the project.
