As of August 7, 2019, construction is underway. The project consists of constructing a new administration building, constructing a new pump station, modifying an existing pump station, modifying an existing electrical building, and other associated electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and other improvements. The Work includes architectural, concrete, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation and control, plumbing, pavement, grading, and underground yard piping improvements. Bids not accompanied by cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond will not be considered. Bonds shall be executed on forms furnished by the OWNER and shall specifically provide for "Performance" and "Payment" Bonds and shall be of the Contract Amount, from a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and acceptable to the OWNER. It shall be necessary that the CONTRACTOR increase the face amount of the Bond to equal each net increase, if any, in the original Contract Amount. All iron and steel products for construction, alteration, maintenance, or repairs incorporated in these plans must be produced in the United States. This contract is subject to the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, which includes EPA-approved fair share goals toward procurement of Minority and Women owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) businesses. EPA rules require that applicants and prime contractors make a good faith effort to award a fair share of contracts, subcontracts, and procurements to M/WBEs through demonstration of the six affirmative steps. Contract Bid Documents will be shipped at the requestor's expense. Payment will be by check, cashier's check or money order only made payable to K2 Partners. The Project Document Fees are nonrefundable. The Brazosport Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any nonconforming Bid and to award the Contract in a period of time not exceeding ninety (90) days from the Bid opening date. Bids shall remain firm for that period.
