Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Poughkeepsie, New York. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

As of March 29, 2023, this project was approved for funding, an engineer has been selected and the project is in design. Although a bid date has not been confirmed, bidding is expected to take place late summer of 2023. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. The bridge is a depression era structure is severely deteriorated, rated as functionally obsolete by NY State Department of Transporation (DOT). Closure has significant economic implications for downtown Poughkeepsie. Left unresolved, closure undermines routine traffic and surges because of tourism in the area of Walkway Over the Hudson. The project is included in the city's 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan.
