Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work to be performed consists, in general, of improvements at the Stockdale Highway and Enos Lane (State Route 43) intersection. The existing intersection is a 4 way stop controlled intersection and the project proposes to construct a roundabout. The roundabout includes a bypass for the nourthbound to eastbound movement and is designed to accommodate two lanes, however it will initially be striped for one lane. The improvements extend approximately 550-feet west and 900-feet east of the intersection along Stockdale Highway and approximately 700-feet north and 1,750-feet south of the intersection along Enos Lane. As of August 5, 2019, construction is underway.
