Phase 1 Freedom Section start: Summer 2020. Completion Fall 2021 Phase 2 Sedgefield Section start: Fall 2021. Completion Fall 2022 Phase 3 Park & Mcdonald Ave, start: Summer 2022. Complete Summer 2023 Dairy Branch is located in south Charlotte. It is a tributary creek of Little Sugar Creek that currently has approximately 8,500 LF of 18 to 10 inch gravity sewer tributary to the 48 inch Little Sugar Creek Interceptor that follows the creek from Freedom Park through Sedgefield Middle School and park to South Boulevard. The upper end of this sewer was rehabilitated in 1998 and the lower end of the sewer in Freedom Park was replaced in 1993. This line has been identified as having capacity issues related to growth in the basin. This project requires additional SSES work to further identify the issues and project future flows and then survey, design, permitting and easement acquisition to build the long term improvements needed for this basin. The initial project budget is $6M and the project completion goal is by the end of 2020. MBE Goal 10%: May be satisfied by an entity that qualifies as a Minority Business Enterprise under N.C. Gen. Stat. 143-128, and that has been certified as a Historically Underutilized Business by the State of North Carolina, and furthermore has an ethnic designation of either African American, Hispanic, or Native American with a significant business presence in the Charlotte Combined Statistical Area. WSBE Goal 10%: May be satisfied by an entity that is certified by the City of Charlotte under Part E of the CBI Policy as meeting all of the requirements for SBE certification and/or WBE registration. Aggregate MWSBE Goal (Project Goal) 20%: The total work performed by MBEs, WBEs, or SBEs in the aggregate for this Project.
