**The work is tentatively scheduled to begin in January 2019. The 2015 edition of, and 2016 supplement to, the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (collectively the "Greenbook") is incorporated by this reference.As more specifically described in the Contract Documents, the Project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work for the Emergency Repairs Project. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: 1. Improvements to four circular primary clarifiers including the replacement of existing primary clarifiers launders, launder supports, weirs and scum baffles and the replacement of the walkway bridge on clarifier 4. 2. Rehabilitation of the two Biotowers, including furnishing and installing welded wire fabric around the masonry section of the the two existing biotowers and sealing masonry joints with waterproofing sealer. 3. Belt filter press improvements including the replacement of four existing belt filter press units with remanufactured belt filter presses of same make, model and capacity of the existing belt filter presses; furnish a complete inventory of spare parts for the existing sludge transfer conveyor; and in-kind replacement of existing fire suppression system piping and sprinklers in the processing areas of the solids processing building (additive Bid item). Replace VFDs for four sludge transfer pumps (additive Bid Item). 4. Administration building laboratory HVAC improvement includes the replacement of the existing 20-ton HVAC unit and ancillary items; replacement of the existing exhaust fan motor, and furnishing and installing a new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controller; and new fume hood and exhaust fan in the sample room. 5. A new Chemically Enhanced Primary Treatment (CEPT) facility including the construction of a new reinforced concrete bulk polymer storage containment area; installon of City furnished equipment and materials; furnishing and installing new equipment and materials; and tie into and extend plant water, power and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to the CEPT facility.
