Site work, renovation and addition to a medical facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility; and for the addition of a 4,102-square-foot medical facility.
**As of 12/20/2019 The project award time frame and approval will be end of March ,2020. Owner seeks a Construction Manager to provide construction manager-at-risk services, as more specifically described in Owner's Standard Agreement, for the renovation of Owner's Endoscopy Center that is located on Floor 5 of Owner's Main Building complex. Respondents to this RFQ will be expected to interface with and provide support to Owner and Owner's Project Architect/Engineer. The existing Endoscopy Center is 10,309 square feet. An additional 4,102 square feet of space adjacent to the existing Endoscopy Center has been approved for expansion of the Endoscopy Center. This space was previously occupied by the Supportive Care Center. The Endoscopy Center will have access to a waiting area in Anderson Central that it will share with Surgery. With faculty and staff working in more than 30 buildings in the greater Houston area and in central Texas, MD Anderson is the largest freestanding cancer center in the world. The physical plant covers more than 11 million square feet, featuring the latest equipment and facilities to support growing needs in outpatient and inpatient care, research, prevention and education. It includes inpatient hospital facilities with 571 beds. Construction projects include the addition of 12 floors that can accommodate more than 300 new inpatient beds in Alkek Hospital on the North Campus; two new research buildings on the South Campus that will house the Center for Advanced Biomedical Imaging Research and Center for Targeted Therapy as part of the McCombs Institute; and MD Anderson's first facility on its Mid Campus, a 25-story building to support current office space and future growth needs. In addition to its main campus in the Texas Medical Center and two research campuses in Bastrop County, Texas, MD Anderson has developed a number of local, national and international affiliations Owner has established a Construction Manager's Budget Limitation for the Project in the amount of Seven Million Dollars ($7,000,000). All questions must be received no later than November 19, 2019 4:00 PM. Questions received after this time will not be accepted. Questions will not be answered via telephone. All answers to any questions or inquiries will be posted on the webpage for all Suppliers to access. It is the intent of MD Anderson to respond to all questions and concerns; however, MD Anderson shall reserve the right to decline to respond to any question or concern. It is important to note that the supplier or suppliers selected to develop MD Anderson's RFP are not automatically qualified to engage with the Institution for purposes of implementing the recommended strategy or solutions. The engagement of contracted services for implementation can, at MD Anderson's discretion, be solicited via a second and separate Request for Proposal Submit SEVEN (7) identical copies of the Qualifications. An original signature must be included on the "Respondent's Statement of Qualifications and Ability To Undertake The Project" document submitted with each copy. Respondent must submit one (1) complete, virus free, exact copy of its Qualifications on a CD. The CD must be submitted in a SEALED envelope apart from the other solicitation documents and must be submitted at the same time the hard copy sealed documents are submitted. The envelope containing the CD must clearly be labeled "Qualifications" and have the name of the submitting firm, the project name, and the RFQ number on both the sealed envelope and on the CD. Respondent acknowledges and accepts that any costs incurred from the respondent's participation in this selection process shall be at the sole risk and responsibility of the Respondent. Respondents submit Qualifications and Proposals at their own risk and expense. Deadline to submit Requests for Information (RFI's) 4:00 PM CST 11/19/2019.
