Renovation of a water / sewer project in Norwalk, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer. As of July 14, 2021, this project is included in the City of Norwalk FY 2020-2021 CIP. Design is complete. The project is anticipated to bid in Summer 2021. Each Bidder shall possess a valid Class A Contractor's license issued by the California State Contractors License Board at the time of the Bid submission, experience with installations on epoxy applications is a must, unless this Project has any federal funding, in which case the successful Bidder must possess such a license at the time of Contract award. The successful Contractor must also possess a current City business license. A Bid may be withdrawn without prejudice upon written request by the Bidder filed with the City Clerk before the Bid submission deadline. Bids must remain valid and shall not be subject to withdrawal for sixty (60) Days after the Bid opening date. TAXES. Except as may be otherwise specifically provided herein, all sales and/or use taxes assessed by federal, State or local authorities on materials used or furnished by the Contractor in performing the Work shall be paid by the Contractor. The Bidder shall calculate payment for all sales, unemployment, pension and other taxes imposed by federal, State, and local law and shall include these payments in computing the Bid. Any City response relevant to this solicitation provided through any means other than the City of Norwalk PlanetBids online bid portal is unauthorized and will be considered invalid.
