Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Danville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a 2,400-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The project consists of: Removal and replacement of the following items at the primary restrooms on floors 1-3 of the 1924 classroom building (6 rooms in total, approx. 2,400 square feet): Wall tile finish, plumbing chase walls and caps, suspended acoustical ceiling system, toilet partitions, toilet room accessories, plumbing fixtures (water closets, urinals, lavatories), restroom light fixtures. Construction of screen wall partitions at restroom entrances. Construction of additional chase walls to conceal exposed existing piping and ductwork. Construction of gypsum board bulkheads at suspended acoustical ceilings. Repair and painting of existing gypsum and plaster wall surfaces, hollow metal doors and frames. Improvements to restroom HVAC. A Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond will be required. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
