As of October 12, 2021, the project has been cancelled. The project will upgrade the current pedestrian access route along Cave Creek Road and Contention Mine Road to incorporate missing or non-compliant sections of sidewalk, curb ramps, and driveways to meet all Americans with Disabilities Act Standards. This project will widen Cave Creek Road and Contention Mine Road, add new curb and gutter, bus pads, curb ramps, landscaping, upgrade existing traffic signals and street lighting to meet the current city standards; drainage improvements, pavement restoration, signing and striping. The project limits are along Cave Creek Road from Angela Drive to Marco Polo Road and along Contention Mine Road from Cave Creek Road to 26th Street. All questions regarding the plans and specifications must be received (in writing) at a minimum seven calendar days prior to bid opening. Questions received after that time may not be given any consideration. The City reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible responsive bidder or all bids will be rejected, as soon as practicable after the date of opening bids.
