Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Mystic, Connecticut. Working plans call for site work for a 28-space playground / park / athletic field; and for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
Design plans call for the construction of a two-story boathouse structure. The two-story structure calls for a large bay on the first floor to accommodate rowing shells and public bathrooms. The second floor, which will be accessed by an elevator, will have a training area with indoor rowing machines and weights, lockers, coaches' offices and a balcony. As of November 7, 2024, two architectural firms are being used; one to design the boathouse and one to design the park. A redesign is currently being done to preserve the historical aspect. A general contractor will be bidding the site work portion of this project only. The vertical construction will be done by a private firm. Site work bidding will be advertised today, November 7, 2024.
