Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Madison, Alabama. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Sullivan Street Widening Project includes the construction of a five lane roadway section from just north of Spenryn Drive to Kyser Boulevard. The project requires that the existing roadway will be milled and overlaid. The project requires a ten (10) foot wide sidewalk along the east side of Sullivan Street and a five (5) foot wide sidewalk along the west side of Sullivan Street, both extending from Dublin Drive to Kyser Blvd. The base bid for the project includes signal installation at three locations: 1. Sullivan Street & Royal Drive, 2. Sullivan Street & West Dublin Drive, 3. Sullivan Street & Kyser Blvd. Storm water infrastructure will be installed as part of the project. The project scope also includes clearing and grubbing, stripping topsoil, unclassified excavation, storm drainage, gravel bedding, concrete sidewalk, and sod. The sidewalk must conform to ADA requirements. Contractor must perform work under traffic using MUTCD standards for traffic control.
