Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a transportation facility in Elmhurst, Illinois. Design plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The existing Metra station is in need of repair and improvements. The project will include reconstruction of the existing station, additional warming shelters, new pedestrian underpass, new platforms, bike parking and various site improvements. As of February 2025, project has been delayed and construction expected in 2026. Bid letting will be through the Illinois Department of Transportation District 1. Project is in City of Elmhurst capital budget FY 2024-2028 CIP.
