Installation of a new 3,800 GPM pump station. 16,100 LF of 24" force main, 210 LF of 36", 1,175 LF of 30" gravity main, 2,740 LF of 16" gravity main, 18 manholes, and associated appurtenances. Also included is the decommissioning and abandonment of an existing pump station and force main. The project is located along Old Hwy 52, Cypress Gardens Road, and Hwy 52 in Moncks Corner, SC 29461 This Proposal does not commit Berkeley County to award a Contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a Proposal or to procure or contract for the articles of goods or services. The County reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities, to reject any or all Bids received as a result of this request, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this Proposal, if it is in the best interest of the County to do so. DEADLINE FOR WRITTEN QUESTIONS: January 5, 2021 at 12:00 PM local time Bids over $100,000.00 shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid. This Project will be funded by the State Revolving Fund (SRF) under project number 496-26. Offers must comply with all applicable state and federal requirements identified in the Bidding Documents including the David-Bacon Act and "American Iron and Steel" Provisions. Offers must follow the "Good Faith Efforts" strategies and implement procedures that ensure Disadvantages Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are given opportunities for meaningful participation if subcontracts are awarded. The DBE "fair share" goal is a responsible amount of funds proportionate to the project's construction costs and is currently established as a participation rate of 2.5% for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 2.5% for Women Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). Performance Bond (EJCDC Form C-610): A performance bond satisfactory to the county, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in this state or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the county, in an amount equal to 100 percent of the price specified in the contract The successful bidder shall procure, maintain, and provide proof of, insurance coverage for injuries to persons and/or property damage as may arise from or in conjunction with, the work performed on behalf of the County by the bidder, his agents, representatives, employees or subcontractors. Proof of coverage as contained herein shall be submitted ten (10) days prior to the commencement of work and such coverage shall be maintained by the bidder for the duration of the contract period; for occurrence policies.
