Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 200-room elderly care / assisted living facility; 50-unit multi-residential development; clubhouse / community center; theater / auditorium; and educational facility.

Plans call for construction of a 200-unit seniors care centre with a Kosher kitchen facility, along with an independent housing unit for seniors to include up to 50 units. The proposed development will be located at the Calgary Jewish Centre (CJC) lands, bordered by 90th Ave SW and 14th Street SW. Other future developments on the site may include a theatre / multi-purpose facility, and a school building. Development will be phased. NOTE: A portion of these lands is currently leased to Alberta Social Housing Corp. and is the site of the Bertha Gold Jewish Seniors Residence. This project is part of the owner's larger phased plan to expand and renovate the CJC. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual. A business case study and options analysis study has been developed by the architect to explore options for the design and construction of a seniors supportive living (SSL) continuing care facility that incorporates Seniors Self-Contained (SSC) affordable housing units. The first project to proceed on the site may be the seniors facility, design and development approvals yet to be addressed, pending grant funding. Scope and schedules for future phases will be determined based on private funding allocation. Further update may be available mid-/late 2025. *Cost to be defined. Construction budget is undefined.
