**As of Febraury 14, 2019, the project is not yet awarded. At this time there is not a definite start date, but it will be sometime in the spring of 2019. The Frederick County Procurement & Contracting Department, Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701, will receive sealed proposals for: Bituminous Overlay of Various Frederick County Roadways (FY 2019) Bid No. 19-045-CP. The subject project work is located in Frederick County and includes Bituminous Overlay of approximately 29.88 lane miles of various Asphalt roads throughout Frederick County, along with necessary patching, milling, installation of underdrains, curb and gutter repair, shoulder backup, pavement markings, and roadside barrier installation and adjustment. PROJECT CLASSIFICATION F ($5,000,001 - $10,000,000 cost group estimate range) Bids must be made in accordance with the requirements in the bid documents. There is no charge for the bid documents. Bid documents may be obtained as follows: If you are already a registered vendor on the Frederick County Procurement & Contracting electronically. If you are not yet a registered vendor on the Frederick County electronically: Go to the vendor registration page at electronically and follow instructions to register; o when you have completed registration go to the Procurement & Contracting Current Solicitations page identified above to download IFB No. 19-045-CP. Supplier registration in Frederick County's new procurement system is strongly encouraged and is now required in order to be awarded a bid. At a yet to be determined future date bid announcements will only be made by the new system. In order to register in the new procurement system please go electronically (note: it is necessary to submit a W9 with your registration. Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers that do not register will not receive notification of addenda; therefore, the county assumes no responsibility for the failure of non-registered entities to receive addenda. No bids will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or a treasurer's check drawn upon a bank or bid bond payable to Frederick County, Maryland, in the amount as set forth in the bid documents. In addition, the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the full amount of the contract award. The successful bidder shall give bond, and comply with the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland respecting Contracts. Frederick County reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Frederick County government does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, and disability in employment of the provision of services. Subsequent to the pre-bid conference, all questions concerning this invitation to bid shall be submitted in writing to Justin Hedges, Procurement Team Leader, 12 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701 via email at: JHedges@frederickcountymd.gov.
