Construction of a new destination building to replace the current 4-storey city owned parking garage. The site is approximately 5,700 m2. TIMELINE: A Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) was issued by the owner to gain insight into interest to redevelop a City-owned property in ByWard Market. The goal of the Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) was to generate inspiring redevelopment concepts, assess the timing of the initiative, gauge the interest and viability of potential partners. Owner is focused on the William Street and ByWard Market Square street renewal project at this time. The city is evaluating the redevelopment potential of City assets in the ByWard Market including a review of subterranean parking. An update to council is expected in 2026.
