Future CWSRF grant application includes storm sewer separation on Montgomery St. between Academy St. and Lincoln Ave. Project is an extension of Pine St. storm sewer. The 36" storm sewer at the Columbia Street crossover was extended 175' as part of Caremount Medical's Parking Lot project. An additional 300' of 36" storm sewer, 150' of 12" storm sewer and 5 catch basins will be installed as part of the Marist/Vassar Medical School project. This will allow for future separation projects at Lincoln Ave., Franklin Ave. and Dean Pl. The storm separation done by Caremount and Marist/Vassar Medical School was done at no cost to City. These projects will abate CSOs at Pine St. and Pine St. Pump Station CSO regulators. Improvements at these locations will reduce CSO events as required by the City SPDES permit and the approved long term control plan. (A storm sewer separation has been contemplated in the area of Beechwood Ave., Sharon Dr., and Alden Rd. Preliminary designs have been done in-house by Engineering. The project is included in the city's 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
