This project is included in the Manatee County's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of December 27, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2027. A detailed scope has not yet been released. Design and construct a new bridge to replace the existing bridge on UMRR at Mill Creek. The current 2 lane bridge will maintain 2 lanes while improving shoulder widths, allow for bicycle traffic and include sidewalks for pedestrian traffic to improve safety. The project will also include modifying/relocating the 42" water main along the south side of the existing bridge. The estimated dimensions of the new bridge are approximately 150 ft. long x 52 ft. - 2 in. Permitting and right-of-way costs will be included as part of the project costs. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
