This project is to design and construct a new southbound left-turn lane from Red Road onto Civic Center Place in the Miramar Town Center. Red Road is a road right-of-way owned by the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT"); therefore the improvements will be owned and maintained by FDOT. The City will complete design plans and obtain all necessary FDOT approvals, and required plat amendment. Rock-Kim contributed $35,000 towards the design of this project. The City would require the future developer of Block 2 in the Miramar Town Center, to construct and/or contribute funds for this turn lane as part of the sale and purchase agreement. However, funds are being requested in case it is desired to construct the turn lane prior to the development of Block 2. As of February 24, 2023, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2025. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
