Renovation of an educational facility in Blacksburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The Renovate First Floor of Dietrick Hall and Plaza project includes the interior renovation of the existing Deet's Place, DXpress, and public spaces on the first floor. The renovation also includes the expansion of the first-floor area to enclose exterior space below the second floor overhang and provides new entrance locations. The renovated space will provide expanded student seating and study space as well as enhanced dining venue spaces. The project also includes the demolition and transformation of the Dietrick Plaza into a new "Spirit Plaza" outdoor space. The plaza includes new hardscape, landscape, outdoor seating and informal recreation space. Additionally, the Hokie Bird statue in Cassell Coliseum will be relocated to a new pedestal in the plaza. Bid Bond and Contract Security will be required (60 day bid bond requested). Hanbury Project No. 19029.00 The cutoff date for pre-bid questions will be November 4, 2021 at 2:00PM.
