As of February 3, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project will address conditions across vertical transportation systems in building 1 (main hospital) at the Atlanta VAMC as follows: service elevators (S5, S6, S7), freight elevator (F8) and passenger elevators (P1, P2, P3, P4, P13, P14, P19, P20) all with identified failing deficiencies. The project location will be in Building 1 on all floors (B-G-1-2-3-4-5-6-7- 8-9-10-11-12) with elevator connections. The contractor is responsible for maintaining life safety and infection control requirements in a patient occupied healthcare campus, for planning and phasing of the work to include installation of temporary infection control measures and for keeping work area clear, clean, and free of loose debris, construction materials and partially installed work that would create a safety hazard or interfere with VA personnel duties and traffic. Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted by the prime contractor, through the Vendor Portal to the Point of Contact listed above. No telephone RFIs will be accepted. The cutoff for RFI submission is Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
