Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Anaheim, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 24,571-square-foot educational facility; for the construction of a 43,500-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; 9,500-square-foot, two-story above grade library; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The project includes both modernization and new construction of a K-6 elementary school on a 9.64 acre site in Anaheim, CA. The summary of the scope is as follows: (1) Building A, new type IIB fully sprinklered building consisting of MPR, stage, library, food service, and 2 classrooms, approx. 17,500 sf.; (2) Building B, new type IIB fully sprinklered classroom building with administration office, approx. 41,800 sf.; (3) Buildings C and D modernization of two existing buildings including type VB, approx. 23,000 sf.; (4) new site work with accessible parking, playfields, hardscape, landscape, underground utilities, path of travel, and lighting; and (5) new masonry trash enclosure The Contract Time is 488 calendar days. This Project is subject to Anaheim Elementary School District's Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) for construction work funded by Measure J. This Project requires prequalification per California Public Contract Code section 20111.6 for public projects using funds received pursuant to the Leroy F. Greene School Facilities Act of 1998 or any funds from any future state school bond for a public project that involves a projected expenditure of $1,000,000 or more. The following prime (or general) contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified and licensed pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code to perform the work specified in the Contract Documents Prime Contractors: A - General Engineering B - General Building Subcontractors: Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing ("MEP") subcontractors (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46) The successful prime contractor bidder must have a State of California Contractor's A or B license current and active at the time of the bid opening and throughout the duration of the contract for the above named Project. Contractor should consult the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidated Damages. As a condition of bidding for the above project or projects, and in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 20111.6, prospective bidders are required to submit to the District a completed Prequalification Questionnaire submittal on forms provided by the District Sealed Prequalification Questionnaire submittals must be submitted prior to 11:00 AM on December 21, 2018 ("Prequalification Submittal Deadline"), and will be received only at the same location stated for the receipt of bids. See Prequalification Instructions for additional information Bid documents will be available and may be mailed/shipped at the requestor's expense. No partial sets will be available Any prime contractor bidding on the Project who fails to attend the entire mandatory conference and job walk will be deemed a non-responsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened Each prime contractor bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to Anaheim Elementary School District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to Anaheim Elementary School District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Such bidder's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Any request for substitutions pursuant to Public Contract Code section 3400 must be made at the time of Bid on the Substitution Request Form set forth in the Contract Documents and included with the bid. The Project(s) described in this Notice is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. Monitoring and enforcement of the prevailing wage laws and related requirements will be performed by the Labor Commissioner/ Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in the Labor Code, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded
