Renovation of an educational facility in Bloomington, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**The contract is awarded to Steve's Roofing & Sheet Metal for (Base bid $786,000) + (Alternate#1 $110,000) = $896,000. Tentative start date is Monday June 3. This date may change after the pre-con meeting. Completion date is before school restarts.** The Project Base Bid Work generally consists of: At Roof Areas 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16: Removal and legal disposal of existing ballasted EPDM single-ply roof system and related flashings down to existing lightweight concrete fill; Removal of abandoned equipment and abandoned satellite dishes; Providing tapered polyisocyanurate insulation, set in adhesive; Providing a 1/2-inch high density coverboard, set in adhesive; Providing 60-mil fully adhered EPDM single-ply roof membrane; New prefinished metal flashings at perimeters of roof area and at projections as required. Providing new gas line supports; At Roof Areas 11 and 12: Providing new exhaust fans and ductwork connections; Cutting and repairing of two doors to allow for flashing heights; Providing new skylights and curbs; At Roof Areas 15 and 16: Providing new wall mounted ladder for access to both Roof Areas; Proposals received after the hour and date set for the receiving of proposals will be returned unopened. Proposals shall be submitted, in duplicate, consisting of the Bid Supplement furnished by Consultant, with blanks properly filled in, along with Indiana State Board of Account Form No. 96 (2013), Parts I and II, as required under the statutes of Indiana. Proposals must also be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by Bidder and an acceptable surety company, as required; made payable to Owner for not less than 5-percent of the total Bid price and delivered in a sealed opaque envelope showing Bidder's name and address. Prime contractors submitting Bids on Projects shall encourage qualified minority subcontractors to perform any portions of Work in Project not performed by their own forces. Bidders shall submit written evidence that quotations have been solicited from qualified minority subcontractors with their Bid Project is intended to be let as a single, prime contract. Base and Alternate Bids shall be submitted as described in Bidding Documents. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive any informality or errors in bidding for a period of 60-days from bid date. It is Owner's intent to award contracts within 30-days. Should Bidder withdraw their Bid within 60-days after Bid date without written consent of the Owner, or fail to execute a satisfactory contract, including required bonds, within 10-days after written notice of acceptance of Bid, Owner may declare the Bid Security forfeited as liquidated damages, not as penalty. Successful Bidder shall furnish an approved Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one-hundred-percent of the Contract Amount, with an approved surety company and said Bond shall remain in full force and effect for a period of 12-months after date of acceptance of Work. Bonds shall be furnished at time of written Notice to Proceed with Work. Work shall be in accordance with specifications and Contract Drawings prepared by Architect/Consultant (hereinafter referred to as Consultant).
