The project consists of installation of approximately 72 linear feet of 12-inch diameter, 450 linear feet of 15-inch diameter and 7 manholes with lateral replacement and tie in to existing sanitary sewer lines within PennDOT right-of ways. Please see Section 01001, Special Provisions, for additional information. MAINTENANCE bond in an amount equal to 25% of the total contract price up to $200,000; plus 10% above $200,000. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled, but prospective bidders are urged to familiarize themselves with the site and review the scope of work and construction documents. The limits of work are marked out in white paint. Any contractor who does not do so and submits a bid does so at his own risk. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids. PA Labor wage rates apply to this contract. There are no MBE/WBE requirements for this project. A Professional Labor Agreement is in effect for this project.
