Nassau BOCES anticipates Bid #18/19-059 Contract 1 Portable Classroom / Connecting Link Addition portion only to be rejected at the December 20, 2018 Board Meeting. The Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Nassau County hereby invites for the following: PORTABLE CLASSROOM ADDITION @ THE WILLET AVENUE MIDDLE SCHOOL - REBID NASSAU BOCES BID #18/19-059R NYSED # 28-90-00-00-8-162-001 Contract 1 - Portable Classroom/Connecting Link Addition [Rebid] Contract 1A - On Site General Construction [New] NOTES: 1. Contract No. 1 - Portable Classroom/Connecting Link Addition will be bid as a five-year lease with a buy out option at the end of the lease. The Contract Documents, including all Drawings and Specifications, may be examined and obtained between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bidders deposit will be refunded if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Non-bidders shall receive partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the amount of the deposit, less the actual cost of reproduction of the documents if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Deposits will not be refunded unless the original receipt issued by Nassau BOCES is presented at the time of return. Any person or corporation proposing to submit a bid must take out a minimum of one (1) set of plans and specifications. Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: NASSAU BOCES and clearly marked on the outside: Bid #18/19-059R. Bids must be received by Nassau BOCES prior to the time indicated for bid opening. Bidders wishing to mail their bids may send it to the address listed above. Each bidder must deposit with his or her bid, a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to NASSAU BOCES, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. PLEASE NOTE: All RFI's are due by Wednesday, January 2, 2019 and forwarded to gdj@wiedersum.com or to fax number 631-434-7906. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals, subject, however, to the discretionary right reserved by Nassau BOCES to waive any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals if, in its opinion, the best interest of Nassau BOCES will thereby be promoted. bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. Project Start- February 1, 2019; Substantial Completion- September 1, 2019 Thereafter, a bidder may withdraw his Bid only in writing and in advance of the actual award. The Contract Documents, including all Drawings and Specifications, may be examined and obtained between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the Nassau BOCES Business Services Department, Purchasing and Materials Program, George Farber Administrative Center located at 71 Clinton Road, Garden City, New York 11530, beginning on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
