Bids must be on forms furnished by the City and marked FY19 Water & Sewer Repairs. This project will address water and sewer lines that are damaged by private contractors while doing business in the Charlotte Water service area. Included also are routine water and sewer repairs to assist in keeping the backlog of these repairs at a manageable level. A 5% deposit (Bid bond) must accompany bids. Bid bonds shall be enclosed in a separate envelope and attached to the outside of the sealed bid package. The City complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act and will provide contract materials in alternate format upon 72-hours written request. Reasonable accommodations and auxiliary aids will also be provided upon 72-hours written request It is the responsibility of each Bidder, before submitting a Bid, to (a) examine the Contract Documents thoroughly; (b) visit the site to become familiar with local conditions that may in any manner affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work; (c) consider federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations that may in any manner affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work; (d) study and carefully correlate Bidder's observations with the Contract Documents; and (e) notify the City or its representative of all conflicts, errors, or discrepancies in the Contract Documents.
