Renovation of a water / sewer project in Brick, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

**As of April 3, 2019 this project has been awarded already. Construction will probably starting already adn it will end a year from now. The proposed work consists of but is not limited to furnishing and installation of twelve (12) pairs of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption vessels concrete foundations, pumps, piping, controls, clearwell modifications, filter building (including HVAC and lighting), site improvement, and landscaping at the William Miller Jr. Water Treatment Plant. The proposed work is located at the William Miller Jr Water Treatment Plant, 1551 Highway 88 West, Brick, New Jersey, 08724. Each prospective bidder will have to provide the appropriate installation references and certifications to the satisfaction of the Owner. Bids must be submitted on forms prepared by Brick Utilities. All bids must be enclosed in sealed, specially addressed envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the bidder and work bid upon. All envelopes should be sent to the attention of the Engineering Department. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid or a maximum of $20,000.00; such certification to be without condition or qualification, and the check made payable to The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority. Each bid must also be accompanied by an agreement to become surety, properly executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and which agreement shall be attached to the proposal. All bidders shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-6.2, requiring each bidder and each subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development an affirmative action program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all employment categories. If a bidder is a corporation or a partnership, the bidder, in conformance with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, shall submit with his bid a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation or partnership who own 10% or more of its stock, of any class or of all individual partners in the partnership who own a 10% or greater interest therein, as the case may be. If one or more such stockholder or partner is itself a corporation or partnership, the stockholders holding 10% or more of that corporation's stock, or the individual partners owning 10% or greater interest in that partnership, as the case may be, shall also be listed. The disclosure shall be continued until names and addresses of every noncorporate stockholder, and individual partner, exceeding the 10% ownership criteria established in this act, has been listed. This contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust nor any of their departments, agencies or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. This contract or subcontract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et. seq. for the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs). The Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with the SED Utilization Plan developed by Brick Utilities for fulfilling SED requirements. The Project shall conform to the Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. The bid receipt date will be at least thirty (30) days after the advertisement date; addenda notices will be provided no less than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the bid receipt deadline. Brick Utilities reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or to reject any and all bids in accordance with applicable laws.
