The Hawaii Department of Transportation (DOT), Harbors Division seeks the services of a qualified professional structural engineering firm to provide design services for Commercial Harbors Structural Engineering Services Support, Phase 2, Statewide - Job H.C. 90115. The scope of work for this project involves a range of structural engineering activities as needed on an individual work order basis including, but not limited, first, the preparation of plans, specifications,cost estimates, analyses, assessments, and commercial harbor design services as necessary to support the development of the commercial harbors system. Second, environmental services including the preparation and processing of all applicable permit applications, including but not limited to the Department of the Army permit and all special studies, reports, and plans required to obtain it; Department of Health Section 401 Water Quality Certification; and Chapter 343, HRS and/or NEPA compliance documents, as required. Third, development services that include conducting property assessments and surveys, preparation of easement maps, legal documents, and other miscellaneous development services. DOT, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations Part 21) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all firms that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex. The Director of Transportation reserves the right to cancel this request for proposals, to reject any or all proposals in whole or part, and to waive any defects in said proposal in the best interest of the State.
